We have a lot of awesome news to share from the weekend!!
Congratulations to the following MVHS Band Members on a successful performance with the VBDOA District X All-District Band Concert on Saturday, February 3rd at Hayfield Secondary.
Mary Hammond performed in the High School Wind Ensemble. Hannah Hamilton, James Gilliam, and Michaela Dresch performed in the High School Symphonic Band.
Congratulations to the MVHS Winter Color Guard Team on achieving 1st Place out of 11 Guards in the Scholastic A3 Class with a score of 62.28 on Saturday, February 3rd at Forest Park Indoor Classic hosted by Forest Park High School Band Boosters!!
Upcoming - MVHS Indoor Home Show - AIA Color Guard/Percussion/Winds Competition - Thank you to everyone who has signed up!
We will be hosting our 10th AIA Indoor Guard & Percussion Competition on Saturday, February 17th @ Mount Vernon High School Field House. This is a wonderful opportunity for our own Winter Color Guard unit to show everyone their hard work. This event is also very important for our program and school, and with that comes the expectation that the better our show operates, the greater our profits.
We have 70 teams coming to compete, which means we need volunteers for almost 400 positions during 9 shifts and several work stations. We are inviting ALL students and 1 parent/guardian to volunteer and assist with this event.

Do you enjoy cooking and/or baking? Not able to volunteer the day of the competition? Volunteering with your talents can assist us greatly.
